About the Teacher - Mike Robeson
I am a TEFL and Trinity TESOL qualified teacher and a native speaker of English and I've been teaching English to adults since 2009.
Why do I teach? Because I love it! It's as simple as that. I can share what I have, see people growing, discovering, improving their English and becoming inspired to change something in their lives. It's a beautiful experience to watch people coming together, creating new friendships and learning, not just from me but from each other. It's a great joy to learn about your lives, culture, beliefs, values, work, home and hobbies, looking at the past present and future. I design each term around your needs, ensuring that the tasks I set are challenging and can be used in real life situations, to help improve your English in the ways needed most. I put the emphasis on fun, as this is a great way to learn. Along with teaching English, my other great passion is teaching singing and I run regular groups 'Harmonies of the Heart' in London and Chorleywood, which are open to anyone who would like to experience the joy of singing together in English and other languages. Singing is a great way to slow down and focus on the sounds of English, especially the vowel sounds. My inspirations are people, singing, being in love and immersed in enthusiasm and joy! |
